F - London, England, United Kingdom

Hi F!
Very nice of you to write.

I, too, am a big hearted person.
That is a GREAT Gift to have.

About being fragile and crying easily.
That's not so bad.
You are fortunate to feel and experience life deeply.
It makes you more compassionate and rich in your feelings.

In time,
I hope you come to see that when someone criticizes you,
or says something hurtful,
that it REALLY ISN'T ABOUT YOU ...

what they are saying is REALLY ABOUT THEM.

We all also have an inner critical voice, too.
When it is negative, it's not really the truth.
It's just trying to protect you,
and it's misguided in its efforts.

Enough philosophizing ...
Just want to support you
in where you are in life.
You will make a Great Psychologist.

You might also consider the relatively new field
of "life coaching".
I'm a certified life coach and I really like it.
The training is really good.

I have a client in London who is a psychotherapist.
She calls me for her sessions,
although she's on a break right now.

I was trained at CTI ...
the Coaches Training Institute.
You can find them at www.TheCoaches.com if you'd like more info.

I hope you enjoy my affirmations,
and I hope they help you on your journey.

Much Love and Joy to You, F!

M - Melton South, Victoria, Australia * (Re: Affirmation #9) I Design And Choose My Day

M -- responds to My Questions accompanying
Affirmation #9 of 105

M,
How are You, Today?

i am well because i design and choose my day. this is what i live for today. im the director of my day. and i love it!

"You can't change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails." - Jimmy Dean

What are your strengths?

my attitude to life and my awareness that i can choose my day. i can design my day. i have a sense and awareness of who i am. somedays, i wake up not having awareness and not knowing who i am and unconciously picked the wrong record in the storage of my mind. i get the wrong day. being aware is the key to peaceful, healthy and calmer living. 2morow is a new day even if i have a bad day today, it's just a reminder that i put the wrong record this morning.

what makes you unique or different?

my attitude and my life is worth living because im alive! im learning about me and who i am, im learning about others and who they are and im learning about myself from others. and growing all day every day from just learning.
im working towards being understanding and accepting and i can only move forward and i am moving forward all day everyday.

I suspect some of the strongest clues
to your strengths are there -
among your most unique qualities.

yes, it is in my attitude.

I hope you fully appreciate yourself
and who you are,
ALL DAY LONG, Today, M

yes, i fully appreciate myself all day everyday, because IM WORTH IT!
goodnite sunny..........god bless u.

M - Melton South, Victoria, Australia

Excellent, M!

I love your responses!

You're In A VERY GOOD Place With Life.
... in Your Life.

Keep Up!

(Anecdotes, etc.)

creating income for you? And if so, what are your strategies for

14. What are your top 5 favorite business blogs?

15. In your opinion, what are the traits of a successful business
blog?

P - San Diego, California

Hi P,

How are you?
I'm intrigued by your business name and the fact that you're reaching out.
I'm considering trying to exchange links with people
reciprocal links
and wonder if you're doing that with anyone?

Thanks for signing up for my notifications

I've only been blogging since mid december.
I first heard about it nearly 2 years ago but avoided it.

Then realized I could use it to reply to all the letters I get.
I had been replying to them individually,
but was never sure my replies were even read.

So, I thought by posting the letters and my replies,
at least I might be doing some good,
while also building content on my site.

The primary purpose I had in mind was to build a sense of community
among my 3,000 free daily affirmations by e-mail subscribers.

I'm not sure it's really working in that way.
But it's early yet, with only 2 months of posting.

The title of my blog is simply the title of my home page.
They are a natural fit to each other.

I post daily.

Greatest mistake is probably not promoting my blog more.

Success - it has brought me a few more subscribers
and it allows me to share ideas of people worldwide.

I have an RSS feed available on my site.
Don't use adsense yet ... should I?

Haven't found a way to get readers to comment
maybe because they can't post without my approval of their content?

traffic comes through search engines and direct bookmarks in my daily e-mails

no ads on my blog

I sell one positive thinking cd so far and have more on the way
not sure if the blog helps to sell it or not
I'm doing the blog more as a public service, public outreach, to help others ... I hope

no opinion on #14 or #15

I hope this helps you P.
Let me know if you wish to speak in person (by phone) sometime.

B - Lakewood, Ohio, USA * My greatest achievement is my

Hi there, Sunny!

My name is B, and I'm an artist living in
Lakewood, Ohio. I've made some big changes in my life
over the past year or so and am looking to continue
bettering myself. My greatest achievement is my
sobriety, which is going on 14 months, and its
maintenance. I've also become self-employed. My work
includes stained glass commissions, decorative paint
finishes, and fine art. What am I looking to achieve
by using these affirmations? Well, I just saw the
film "What the #@%*! Do We Know" and am interested in
the possibilities of positive thinking and the ability
of one's mind to shape one's world. I hope to create
a more positive self image and to apply myself more
effectively to my work. I see myself having a more
comfortable attitude toward dealing with people
especially where money is concerned. I see myself
valuing my work and my talents realistically... no
more selling myself short. I see my primary
relationship growing stronger as I let the prospect of
countless empty dalliances slip away. In short, I see
a better, more focused me, and I think that one simple
thought a day seems like a digestable way to start
down that road. Hmmmm. That seems like enough for
now. Until tomorrow...

B - Lakewood, Ohio, USA

Hi B!
Thank You for writing!
Congratulations on your success of 14 months of sobriety.
You sound as though you are in a VERY GOOD place.

I've heard about that movie and that it's very good.
Feeling good about yourself is so powerful.
I sincerely hope I can be of some help as you move forward on
YOUR EXCITING JOURNEY!

Keep up the good motions forward!
Yaaaaayyyyy!!!

D - Newark, Deleware, USA * Your daily affirmations are uplifting me already.

Hi Sunny,
Your daily affirmations are uplifting me already. I chuckle to myself when I think and concentrate on them. It's funny the affect they have on me and the internal joy I'm receiving. Sure beats negative thinking!

Here's a little about me. My answers follow the questions.
D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'D LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOU!
Maybe things like ...
Where do You live ?
I live in Newark, DE
What are You up to in life ?
Surviving
What are some of Your interests ?
People, massage, outdoors, plants
What kind of work do You do ?
I work fulltime as an administrative assistant at a local university, working in a large academic department. Mainly, I am an assistant to the chair and work in the areas that concern the faculty administratively, i.e. promotion, tenure, salaries, leaves, meetings, coordination of these activities.
What do You like about it?
The people, the ability to coordinate a smoothe operation, not missing deadlines, feeling needed to help them along their way and helping the department to do its work.
What subjects or activities might You Like Support With?
Speaking in front of a group; educating people in an informed manner; allowing myself to think about material things without feeling like it's wrong;
or perhaps ...
What Might You Hope to ACHIEVE by being on my 105 affirmation list?
I wish to achieve beyond my survival mentality. I've started broadening my vision with my massage practice. However, sometimes when I think ........really I don't dare to think beyond survival because I don't want to be disappointed or not be appreciative of what I already have been blessed with. So, it is like a catch 22...I'd like to imagine and be more successful and yet it seems disrespectful to what I already have and it also lays me open for disappointment, and yet is it attainable or is it? Just wanting more material goods isn't where true happiness lays anyway...at least that is what I think. I get a kick out of helping people. I just need to figure out how I can do that and prosper. So I was thinking that just the mere activity of thinking those affirmative thoughts everyday might help. And as I said earlier they at least cheer me up. I'm hoping that once I'm cheered up enough and internalize the thoughts that through my thoughts, to and through my actions that I can accomplish things I at one time thought were out of my reach. I am close to retirement in the conventional sense of the word...that is in a few years I'll be able to quit my day job, collect a retirement (small as it is) and social security (same) and go into fulltime massage practice. I'm hoping that by the time that arrives, I'll be mentally, emotionally, and intelligently poised to handle a booming massage practice.
One of the problems I think I have is that I don't seem to have a 'hook' that keeps people coming back. I'm not presenting massage properly and not educating them in a way that they know they should receive on a regular basis. I've got to learn that. Also, I need to figure out some sort of program such as a series of sessions, etc. Also, I need to be able to speak without fear. For some reason, even thinking of speaking makes my inards twist, I get so upset about speaking in front of a group. I need to break this. To help, I've started reading verses at my Bible group..which is a huge step for me. I can talk your ears off...but to have a monologue, directed by me, is a whole other story.
So, you asked for it...and I've talked long enough...thanks for having your site, thanks for being so positive, and thanks for sending along the affirmative thoughts. I do appreciate them and if I receive no more, the ones you have sent have helped me.
Take care and I wish you the best,
D - Newark, Deleware, USA
You're Welcome D,
Thank You for writing.
I'm happy you want to change your thinking.
You CAN do it.
I know you can.
Also, I know your massage practice will continue to grow.
Be patient and persistent.
You do deserve to earn more.
You can do a lot of good with more $.
You're so right that it isn't really about the $,
and yet ... more $ are a good thing.
It will be a good thing for YOU!
Keep Up.
D - Kingsport, Tennessee, USA * I want to be the very best wife and mother.
Dear Sunny:
I am a grateful wife and a happy mom.
I can't believe I have all that I have in my life today.
I have always wanted to be married and have a child
so that is what means the most to me.
I love my little family and what goals I have
you are going to have to help me with
and they all revolve around these two people and me of course.
I want to be the very best wife and mother.
I have such negative thoughts about myself.
I can't seem to believe in myself.
I struggle with the insecurities.
I want to live my life as if it were my last day here on earth
and I seem to waste so much time in depression and in the rehashing of the past.
I love to oil paint and I love to clown
I would love to do both of these for a living.
Maybe write childerns books or work with people in way that would teach them how not to take life so seriously. ( Like I do).
I want to generate enough money
(which I can do in the luxury of my own home
doing a great job that fell into my lap working on the phone that I know I can do,
I love my husband more than anything in this world.
I love my son and I want to be a great example for him to be around. He is only 5. He will be 6 on Fri. of this week.
He is such a fine little boy.
So ... in a nut shell I don't know if you can help me
but if you can I will be so happy.
I also have been sick lately.
I have had an ear ache for about 6 weeks now.
I am not responding to any meds. My immune system is broken down due to the stress.
I hope I can get my health back on track
and eat well and excersize religiously again
like I once used to.
I for the first time in my life
want know what loving myself would be like.
I have so many dreams and desires
just waiting to be explored.
I also love Jesus. I want to increase my faith and trust in him.
Well Sunny I hope this tells you a little bit about me.
My husband is D.
He and I are both doing your affirmations
and we have ordered your C.D.
can't wait to see results.
Thank you,
D - Kingsport, Tennessee, USA
Hi ,
Taking care of your brother is an obvious strain.
That would he so hard for anyone.
You are a good person.
One trick you might try ...
is taking any negative thought that pops into your mind
and reverse it 180 degrees.
My guess is that the opposite
of what your "inner critic" says
is the REAL TRUTH.
We all have an inner critic.
It isn't you.
Not the real you.
It's trying to protect you,
but it's misguided.
The real truth is:
I am a grateful and happy mom.
I'm so fortunate to be married and have a child.
I love my goals.
I love my family.
I'm a wonderful wife.
I'm a wonderful mother.
I'm a wonderful sister.
I'm living every day as if it is my last.
I'm living my life with gratitude every day.
I'm letting go of the past.
The past is drifting away into nothingness.
I love to oil paint.
I love to clown.
I do both for a living.
I'm earning plenty of money doing what I love.
I write children's books.
I'm generating lots of money.
I have lots of energy.
I love getting out of bed first thing every morning.
I love to breath in fresh air and listen to the freshness of the morning air.
I love my husband.
I love my self.
My husband is spending more and more time at home.
We're so happy together.
I love my husband more than anything.
I'm helping him every day.
I'm a great example for my son.
I'm super healthy.
My immune system is getting so very strong.
My immune system is getting stronger and stronger every day.
I'm stress free and in control of my life.
I'm energetic and happy.
My brother will be taken care of by others soon.
I can do the minimum with him to get by and take good care of myself.
I deserve to take care of myself first, so I can be there for others.
I deserve to take care of myself first, so I can be there for my husband and my son.
My health is getting back on track.
I'm eating well.
I'm exercising religiously.
I'm exploring my dreams and desires.
I love Jesus.
I'm increasing my faith.
I'm increasing my trust in Jesus.
I'm increasing my trust in myself.
I love the mountains.
I love the ocean.
I have a lovely beach home.
I have a lovely life with my husband and son.
D ... I know you can transform your life.
Be patient with yourself.
Be kind to yourself.
Keep Up!
I hope these new affirmations help you, my friend.
Please print them.
Please recite them aloud daily -- several times.
Please write them out in your own handwriting.
Let me know how it goes.
The CD is all 105 affirmations - back to back - repeated.
It's best to play the CD DAILY ... even if only in the background.
Right after I say an affirmation -- you can say it silently to yourself in your inner voice----during the brief pause --- then do the same with the next affirmation.
Allow your thoughts to soar.
Allow your dreams to have light and life.
Much Love to You, D!
